Location: Concord, NH
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — in-office minimum of 4 days per week initially, with flexibility to work remotely 3–4 days per week thereafter
Experience: 3–5+ years of litigation experience

Job Summary

Our client, a well-established law firm in Concord, NH, is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation Senior Associate. The successful candidate will handle matters from inception through resolution with full file responsibility. This role offers substantial existing work and a significant long-term leadership and partnership opportunity as retiring partners transition established practices to incoming associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Defend medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution
• Assume full responsibility for assigned files and litigation strategy
• Manage discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, experts, and case preparation
• Work directly with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, experts, and courts
• Prepare matters for trial and participate in trials as experience permits
• Manage a substantial caseload within a busy defense practice

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active bar admission (New Hampshire admission, or eligibility to waive in)
• Strong research, writing, advocacy, and client-service skills
• Experience managing cases from inception through resolution with full file responsibility
• Trial experience preferred
• Ability to manage a substantial caseload
• Strong communication and client-management abilities
• Self-directed approach and a defense-side litigation mindset
